Soal:

Tentukan koordinat titik P jika mempunyai kedudukan berikut. Titik P(8,m) terletak pada garis 3x=5y+4

 

Jawabannya (8, 4) 

 

Pembahasan:

Konsep Jika titik A(x,y) terletak pada suatu garis dengan persamaan y = ax + b, maka titik A(x,y) merupakan penyelesaian dari persamaan tersebut. 

 

Pembahasan Titik P(8,m) terletak pada garis 3x=5y+4, maka titik P adalah penyelesaian dari persamaan 3x = 5y + 4 

Sehingga 3x = 5y + 4 —(Subtitusi titik P(8,m)) 3(8) = 5m + 4 24 = 5m + 4 —(kedua ruas dikurangi 4) 24 – 4 = 5m + 4 – 4 20 = 5m —(kedua ruas dibagi 5) 20/5 = 5m/5 4 = m 

Sehingga kordinat titik P adalah (8, 4)
